DAY-WISE ITINERARAY

Day 1 | Arrival in Gorakhpur

Distance: Arrival Day

Welcome to Gorakhpur, the starting point of your Upper Mustang Nepal Motorcycle Expedition. Upon arrival, check in to your hotel and relax after your journey. In the evening, meet your ride captain and fellow riders, complete the motorcycle allocation, attend the tour briefing, and receive important riding instructions for the adventure ahead. Enjoy dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 2 | Gorakhpur → Kathmandu

Distance: 330 km

After breakfast, ride towards the Sonauli Border, complete the immigration formalities, and enter Nepal. Continue through scenic mountain highways, charming villages, and river valleys before reaching Kathmandu, the cultural heart of Nepal. Check in to your hotel, enjoy dinner, and relax for the night.

Day 3 | Kathmandu → Pokhara

Distance: 210 km

Ride along the scenic Prithvi Highway, following the Trishuli River through lush green valleys and mountain landscapes. Reach the beautiful lakeside city of Pokhara, famous for breathtaking views of the Annapurna Range. Dinner and overnight stay.

Day 4 | Pokhara → Tatopani

Distance: 170 km

Today’s ride follows the spectacular Kali Gandaki Valley, passing waterfalls, suspension bridges, and traditional Nepalese villages. Arrive at Tatopani, renowned for its natural hot springs and peaceful Himalayan atmosphere. Dinner and overnight stay.

Day 5 | Tatopani → Muktinath

Distance: 115 km

Ride through Jomsom and Kagbeni before reaching the sacred pilgrimage destination of Muktinath. Visit the famous Muktinath Temple and admire the breathtaking views of the Annapurna and Dhaulagiri mountain ranges. Dinner and overnight stay.

Day 6 | Muktinath → Lo Manthang

Distance: 95 km

Today you enter the legendary Upper Mustang, once known as the Forbidden Kingdom of Nepal. Ride through dramatic desert landscapes, colorful cliffs, ancient Tibetan villages, and high mountain passes before arriving at the historic walled city of Lo Manthang. Dinner and overnight stay.

Day 7 | Explore Lo Manthang & Chhoser

Distance: 60 km

Spend the day exploring the rich culture and history of Upper Mustang. Ride to Chhoser Village to discover its ancient sky caves and centuries-old monasteries. Visit the Royal Palace of Lo Manthang and immerse yourself in the unique Tibetan heritage before returning for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 8 | Lo Manthang → Muktinath

Distance: 95 km

Begin your return journey through the rugged landscapes of Upper Mustang. Enjoy breathtaking mountain views, remote villages, and thrilling Himalayan roads before reaching Muktinath. Dinner and overnight stay.

Day 9 | Muktinath → Pokhara

Distance: 200 km

Descend through Marpha, Jomsom, and the beautiful Kali Gandaki Valley. Ride past apple orchards, suspension bridges, and picturesque villages before arriving back in Pokhara. Spend the evening relaxing by Phewa Lake. Dinner and overnight stay.

Day 10 | Pokhara Sightseeing

Distance: 40 km

Enjoy a relaxing day exploring the highlights of Pokhara. Visit Phewa Lake, World Peace Pagoda, Davis Falls, Gupteshwor Cave, and the vibrant Lakeside area. This rest day allows riders to recover before the return journey. Dinner and overnight stay.

Day 11 | Pokhara → Kathmandu

Distance: 210 km

Ride back to Kathmandu, enjoying the scenic mountain highways and river valleys once again. Spend the evening exploring the famous Thamel Market, visiting local cafés, or shopping for souvenirs. Dinner and overnight stay.

Day 12 | Kathmandu → Lumbini

Distance: 280 km

After breakfast, leave the Kathmandu Valley and ride through Nepal’s beautiful countryside towards Lumbini, the birthplace of Lord Buddha. Visit the Maya Devi Temple and explore the peaceful monastery zone before dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 13 | Lumbini → Gorakhpur

Distance: 120 km

After breakfast, complete the immigration formalities at the Sonauli Border and ride back to Gorakhpur. Return your motorcycles and celebrate the successful completion of your Upper Mustang adventure with your fellow riders during a farewell dinner.

Day 14 | Departure from Gorakhpur

Enjoy your final breakfast before checking out from the hotel. 100% of the Total Trip Cost is Payable to Confirm Your Booking. Once 100% amount is paid,

  • Cancellations are made before 30 days of the start date of the trip, We will return 50% of the remaining amount.(Please note advance amount is non-refundable)
  • Cancellations are made before 15 days of the start date of the trip. We will return 25% of the remaining amount. (Please note advance amount is non-refundable)
  • Cancellations are made before 0-15 days of the start date of the trip. No amount is refundable.

In the case of unforeseen weather conditions or government restrictions, certain activities may be cancelled and in such cases, the operator will try his best to provide an alternate feasible activity. However, no refund will be provided for the same.

Booking & Payment

  • A non-refundable deposit of 5,000 is required to confirm your booking. The remaining balance must be paid 7 days before departure.

Cancellation by Organizer

  • If we cancel the trip due to unforeseen circumstances, you may choose a full refund or reschedule your booking.

Safety & Liability

  • Participants join the trip at their own risk. The organizer is not responsible for accidents, injuries, or loss of personal belongings. Please follow the instructions of the guides and inform us of any medical conditions before the trip.

Itinerary Changes

  • The itinerary may change due to weather, road conditions, or other unforeseen circumstances. If delays or cancellations require additional accommodation or transport, the extra costs will be borne by the participant.

Travel Insurance

  • Travel insurance covering medical emergencies, cancellations, and accidents is strongly recommended.

Participant Responsibilities

  • Participants should be physically fit, carry appropriate winter clothing, be punctual, and respect fellow travellers, guides, locals, and the environment.

Code of Conduct

  • Any misconduct, harassment, or disruptive behaviour may result in removal from the trip without a refund.

Force Majeure

  • We are not liable for delays, cancellations, or itinerary changes caused by events beyond our control, including natural disasters, government restrictions, or political unrest.

Assumption of Risk

  • Winter travel involves risks such as cold weather, slippery roads, and high-altitude conditions. By joining the trip, you accept these risks.

Important: This trip includes several long travel stages through remote mountain regions with limited infrastructure. Our support vehicle will provide primary assistance to reach the nearest medical facility if required, as helicopter and ambulance services may not always be available. Mobile network coverage is limited, and communication with emergency services may be difficult in certain areas. Road conditions can change rapidly due to weather, snowfall, landslides, or other natural factors, which may result in delays or necessary changes to the itinerary for the safety of all participants.

Yes. Foreign nationals are welcome with a valid passport, Nepal visa (if applicable), and the required travel permits.

Many nationalities can obtain a visa on arrival at the Nepal border. Please check the latest visa requirements before travel.

Fuel is included only for riders renting a motorcycle from IndianBikeRiders. If you are joining with your own motorcycle, fuel expenses are not included and will be your responsibility.

We provide the Royal Enfield Himalayan 450, specially chosen for Himalayan expeditions. The motorcycle offers excellent comfort, stability, and performance on both mountain highways and challenging off-road sections.

Basic mountain riding experience is recommended due to high-altitude roads and off-road sections.

Cancellations made before the departure date are subject to our cancellation policy. Cancellation charges vary depending on how close the cancellation is to the departure date. Please read our Terms & Conditions for complete details or contact our team for assistance.
