DAY-WISE ITINERARAY

Day 1 | Arrival in Rishikesh

Distance: Arrival Day

Welcome to Rishikesh, the adventure capital of India and the starting point of your Spiti Valley Motorcycle Expedition. Upon arrival, check in to your hotel and relax after your journey. In the evening, attend the tour briefing, meet your ride captain and fellow riders, complete the motorcycle inspection, and receive important riding instructions for the expedition ahead. Enjoy dinner and an overnight stay in Rishikesh.

Day 2 | Rishikesh → Shimla

Distance: 290 km

After breakfast, begin your Himalayan motorcycle adventure towards the charming hill station of Shimla. Ride through scenic mountain highways, lush forests, winding roads, and beautiful river valleys while gradually entering the majestic Himalayas. Arrive in Shimla by evening and admire its colonial architecture, vibrant Mall Road, and panoramic mountain views. Check in to your hotel, enjoy dinner, and relax for the night.

Day 3 | Shimla → Chitkul

Distance: 240 km

Today’s ride takes you through the breathtaking Kinnaur Valley, following the mighty Sutlej River along dramatic cliffside roads and spectacular Himalayan scenery. Experience thrilling mountain curves, charming villages, and picturesque valleys before reaching Chitkul, the last inhabited village near the Indo-Tibet border. Surrounded by snow-capped peaks and the pristine Baspa River, Chitkul offers one of the most scenic overnight stays of the expedition.

Day 4 | Chitkul → Kalpa

Distance: 60 km

Enjoy a relaxed morning before riding through the beautiful Sangla Valley towards Kalpa, one of Himachal Pradesh’s most picturesque mountain villages. Famous for its apple orchards and breathtaking views of the majestic Kinner Kailash Range, Kalpa offers a perfect blend of natural beauty and Himalayan culture. Spend the evening soaking in the spectacular mountain scenery before dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 5 | Kalpa → Tabo

Distance: 170 km

Today marks your official entry into the spectacular Spiti Valley. Ride through Spillow, Pooh, and Khab, where the Sutlej and Spiti Rivers meet, witnessing the landscape transform from lush green valleys into the dramatic high-altitude cold desert. Arrive in Tabo, home to the legendary 1,000-year-old Tabo Monastery, often referred to as the “Ajanta of the Himalayas.” Dinner and overnight stay in Tabo.

Day 6 | Tabo → Kaza

Distance: 50 km

A short yet unforgettable ride awaits as you travel deeper into the heart of Spiti Valley. En route, visit the magnificent Dhankar Monastery, dramatically perched on a cliff overlooking the confluence of the Spiti and Pin Rivers. Continue through breathtaking Himalayan landscapes before arriving in Kaza, the cultural and administrative center of Spiti Valley. Relax, acclimatize, and enjoy dinner before your overnight stay.

Day 7 | Kaza Local Sightseeing

Distance: 90 km

Today is dedicated to exploring the most iconic attractions of Spiti Valley. Visit the magnificent Key Monastery, the largest and oldest monastery in the region, offering breathtaking panoramic views. Continue to Kibber Village, once known as the world’s highest motorable village, before riding to Hikkim, home to the world’s highest post office. End the day at Langza Village, famous for its giant Buddha statue and ancient marine fossils scattered across the landscape. Return to Kaza for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 8 | Kaza → Chandratal Lake

Distance: 100 km

Ride towards the spectacular Kunzum Pass (4,551 m), enjoying thrilling off-road trails, river crossings, and breathtaking Himalayan landscapes. Continue to the magical Chandratal Lake, also known as the Moon Lake, renowned for its crystal-clear waters and stunning reflections of the surrounding mountains. Spend the evening camping beside the lake under a sky filled with countless stars for an unforgettable Himalayan experience.

Day 9 | Chandratal Lake → Manali

Distance: 120 km

Today’s adventure is packed with excitement as you ride through Batal, Chhatru, and Gramphu, navigating rocky terrain, water crossings, and dramatic mountain landscapes. Continue through the famous Atal Tunnel, one of the world’s longest high-altitude tunnels, connecting the rugged Spiti Valley with the lush green Kullu Valley. Arrive in Manali, where towering pine forests, vibrant cafés, and bustling markets offer a refreshing contrast to the barren beauty of Spiti. Dinner and overnight stay in Manali.

Day 10 | Manali → Chandigarh

Distance: 300 km

After breakfast, begin your final ride from the Himalayas towards Chandigarh. Travel through the scenic Kullu Valley, passing Bilaspur and Swarghat before reaching the city by evening. Upon arrival, return your motorcycles and celebrate the successful completion of your unforgettable Himalayan adventure with your fellow riders. Dinner and overnight stay in Chandigarh.

Day 11 | Departure from Chandigarh

Enjoy your final breakfast before checking out of the hotel. 100% of the Total Trip Cost is Payable to Confirm Your Booking. Once 100% amount is paid,

  • Cancellations are made before 30 days of the start date of the trip, We will return 50% of the remaining amount.(Please note advance amount is non-refundable)
  • Cancellations are made before 15 days of the start date of the trip. We will return 25% of the remaining amount. (Please note advance amount is non-refundable)
  • Cancellations are made before 0-15 days of the start date of the trip. No amount is refundable.

In the case of unforeseen weather conditions or government restrictions, certain activities may be cancelled and in such cases, the operator will try his best to provide an alternate feasible activity. However, no refund will be provided for the same.

Booking & Payment

  • A non-refundable deposit of 5,000 is required to confirm your booking. The remaining balance must be paid 7 days before departure.

Cancellation by Organizer

  • If we cancel the trip due to unforeseen circumstances, you may choose a full refund or reschedule your booking.

Safety & Liability

  • Participants join the trip at their own risk. The organizer is not responsible for accidents, injuries, or loss of personal belongings. Please follow the instructions of the guides and inform us of any medical conditions before the trip.

Itinerary Changes

  • The itinerary may change due to weather, road conditions, or other unforeseen circumstances. If delays or cancellations require additional accommodation or transport, the extra costs will be borne by the participant.

Travel Insurance

  • Travel insurance covering medical emergencies, cancellations, and accidents is strongly recommended.

Participant Responsibilities

  • Participants should be physically fit, carry appropriate winter clothing, be punctual, and respect fellow travellers, guides, locals, and the environment.

Code of Conduct

  • Any misconduct, harassment, or disruptive behaviour may result in removal from the trip without a refund.

Force Majeure

  • We are not liable for delays, cancellations, or itinerary changes caused by events beyond our control, including natural disasters, government restrictions, or political unrest.

Assumption of Risk

  • Winter travel involves risks such as cold weather, slippery roads, and high-altitude conditions. By joining the trip, you accept these risks.

Important: This trip includes several long travel stages through remote mountain regions with limited infrastructure. Our support vehicle will provide primary assistance to reach the nearest medical facility if required, as helicopter and ambulance services may not always be available. Mobile network coverage is limited, and communication with emergency services may be difficult in certain areas. Road conditions can change rapidly due to weather, snowfall, landslides, or other natural factors, which may result in delays or necessary changes to the itinerary for the safety of all participants.

DOCUMENTS REQUESTED :

Yes. The required Inner Line Permit (ILP) for Indian nationals is included in the tour package. Our team handles the complete permit process before the expedition. Riders only need to provide the necessary ID documents within the specified timeline.

Yes. You can join the expedition with your own motorcycle, provided it is in excellent mechanical condition and suitable for Himalayan terrain. Our Ride Captain will inspect the motorcycle before departure. If you prefer, you can also rent a Royal Enfield Himalayan 450 from us.

Yes. Foreign nationals are welcome to join the Spiti Valley Bike Tour. A valid passport, Indian visa, and required identification documents are mandatory. Our team will assist you with the necessary travel guidance before the tour.

Fuel is included only for riders renting a motorcycle from IndianBikeRiders. If you are joining with your own motorcycle, fuel expenses are not included and will be your responsibility.

We provide the Royal Enfield Himalayan 450, specially chosen for Himalayan expeditions. The motorcycle offers excellent comfort, stability, and performance on both mountain highways and challenging off-road sections.

Cancellations made before the departure date are subject to our cancellation policy. Cancellation charges vary depending on how close the cancellation is to the departure date. Please read our Terms & Conditions for complete details or contact our team for assistance.
